Description

We offer an array of printing options through various Melbourne-based print houses. Most 12” artwork is printed via offset printing, and most 7” artwork is printed digitally. We can also accommodate specialty printing, so if you’d like something special or unique, please get in touch for custom pricing and requirements.

We do not offer a Graphic Design / artwork correction service so it is important that your artwork is set up correctly to our templates and specifications. Delays will occur if your artwork is set up incorrectly and we accept no responsibility for errors contained / supplied in your artwork.

Before submitting

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR ARTWORK:

  • Your artwork must be supplied as high resolution PDF files, CMYK, 300 DPI minimum.
  • Fonts and images need to be embedded and outlined (converted to curves) before saving.
  • Artwork must be set to the official Zenith templates below and sent as one file.
  • Artwork supplied on any other template will not be accepted.
  • Files must be in PDF form with the template removed.
  • Supply with artwork right up to the bleed lines.
  • Supply 2 x clearly labelled art files for the centre labels i.e. SIDE A / SIDE B
  • Artwork is FINAL once sent so please ensure there are no spelling / grammatical / design errors. Any requests to resupply artwork after it has been printed will incur another print charge.
  • Spine text typically reads from top to bottom.
  • Spot gloss or specialty foiling must be on a seperate layer from artwork.
  • Print proof requests must be submitted at the beginning of your job, and will incur an extra cost.

Do you offer foiling and other specialty printing?

Yes. We offer the following specialty printing options for our 12” covers.

  • Foiling
  • Embossing / Debossing
  • PMS Pantone and Spot colours
  • Gloss and Matte coating
  • Uncoated card printing
  • Mirror board printing

Do you have recycled options?

Unfortunately due to the nature of recycled paper it is not suitable for the type of print we offer. However the printing houses we work with are all FSC certified. To learn more about FSC certifications, click here.

Do you offer in-house design work?

No we don’t, but our production manager is a certified graphic designer and can help with template placement and minor design changes for an added fee.

I’m not sure how the cover will turn out, can I get a physical proof?

Certainly. We offer colour calibrated digital print proofs for your cover designs for an additional cost, but you must let us know you want one at the time you place your order with us.

Can you accept images instead of PDF files?

While we prefer to work with print-ready PDF files, we are able to accept images only if they are in TIFF format. JPEGs and PNGs are designed specifically for screens, and are not suitable for large-scale printing.

I only have the working files available, is that okay?

Yes – working files (.psd / .ai / .ind ) are also acceptable file formats, however we ask that all linked images and font files are either supplied to us as well, or embedded and outlined before you send them to us.
