F.A.Q.

How much music can I fit per side?

7” records generally hold up to 5 minutes if cut at 45 RPM. If cut at 33RPM, it’s generally around the 7 minute mark. However this largely depends on the style of music.

If you’re unsure, our cutting engineers are available to advise. In the RPM section of your quote form, simply select unsure and we’ll take it from there.

What’s the difference between a pocket sleeve and a foldover?

A pocket sleeve is a forme cut and glued cover that mimics a 12” record sleeve, whereas a foldover is a single piece of card that is cr4eased in the middle and folded over the record, then placed into a poly bag.

Is there a price difference between a pocket and a foldover?

Yes. Because of the nature of the pocket sleeve, it is a higher cost. A foldover cover is a more affordable option while still looking professional.

I don’t want any artwork – what options do you have for me?

That’s perfectly fine – we have options for both blank covers and labels. Blank labels are offered in black or white. We have white foldover covers available, and for pocket covers we offer the following: white, black, or brown kraft – with or without a hole. Just let us know your preferences and we’ll add it to your quote.

What’s the difference between a small and large hole?

A small hole is the standard width for records, however we also have the large or ‘jukebox’ hole option for 7” only. As the name suggests, these were standard issue for 7” in order to play them on jukeboxes back in the day. They are more cosmetic than anything, and incur an additional fee. Please let us know if you would like a jukebox hole in your quote notes.
